Kitten Vaccination Schedule:

6-8 Weeks          Physical examiniation
                           FeLV/FIV (Feline leukemia/Feline immunodeficiency test)
                              - is recommended for all kittens
                           FVRCP vaccine #1 (Distemper)
                           Deworming
                           Flea/ Heartworm prevention

9-11 Weeks        Physical examiniation
                           FVRCP vaccine #2
                           Leukemia vaccine #1   (* if needed)
                           Deworming
                           Flea/ Heartworm prevention

12-14 Weeks      Physical examination
                           FVRCP vaccine #3
                           Leukemia vaccine #2    (* if needed)
                           Rabies vaccination (will last 1 year)
                           Flea/ Heartworm prevention

Vaccines schedule may need to be modified depending on age and size of pet and number of vaccines to be given at each visit.

* Indoor kittens with no exposure to the outdoors and/or other cats that go inside and outside will not need a FeLV vaccine. If unvaccinated, make sure that all new cats entering the household have been FeLV tested negative before exposing them to your kitten.

Details of BVH's Kitten Program:

     Kittens up to 6 months of age

- Three monthly physical examinations
- Kitten vaccines (the entire series) distemper combo
(including distemper, feline panleukopenia, rhinotracheitis, and calicivirus), rabies and leukemia.
- Feline leukemia / FIV combination screening test.
- Intestinal parasite examination
- Strategic deworming program
- Spaying or neutering at 4-5 months of age
- $16.00 office visits

                           Rabies vaccine yearly
                           Dental vaccine yearly
